In aerospace, telecommunications, defense, data centers, and process automation, unexpected power interruptions cause costly downtime, data loss, and equipment damage. Acopian Redundant Power Packages provide pre-wired, fully integrated redundant DC power in a single rugged assembly.
Each system contains two identical linear or switching power supplies configured with isolation diode ORing networks. If the primary power supply degrades or fails, the backup power supply seamlessly assumes the entire load current with zero disruption to output power.
Select from wall mount, 19-inch rack mount, modular, pluggable, or scalable N+1 redundant power supply configurations up to 1200 Watts.
Designed for absolute reliability. Learn how Acopian redundant power architecture protects critical DC loads against AC line failure or component breakdown.
The primary power supply output voltage is factory set approximately 0.2V higher than the backup supply. Under normal operation, only the primary supply delivers load current while the backup diode remains reverse biased. If the primary supply voltage drops by more than 0.2V, the backup supply automatically takes over the load instantaneously with zero interruption.
Each system includes two separate sets of AC input terminals. This allows primary AC power to be drawn from standard grid utility lines while secondary AC power connects to an Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS), backup generator, or secondary line, providing total input line protection.
Integrated voltage monitoring circuits continuously evaluate output voltage status. Cascade-connected relay contacts provide dry SPDT/Form C alarm outputs to trip external buzzers, light stacks, or PLC telemetry if either internal power supply drops voltage by more than 2.0V (3.0V for ratings >48V).
Every internal module incorporates built-in overvoltage protection (OVP) to prevent over-voltage propagation to sensitive equipment. Standard rack and pluggable packages permit safe live replacement of defective modules without turning off power to the system load.
Acopian redundant power supplies are deployed globally across demanding sectors where power failure is not an option.

Common questions regarding specification, compliance, lead times, and customization of Acopian Redundant Power Systems.
Linear redundant systems offer extremely low output noise, ultra-quiet ripple specifications, and fast transient recovery, making them ideal for audio, medical instruments, and sensitive RF communications. Switching redundant packages provide higher electrical efficiency, compact physical footprints, and lower thermal output for high-power industrial racks.
Yes. Beyond standard model voltages (5Vdc to 125Vdc), Acopian application engineers customize wiring harnesses, front-panel digital meters, circuit breakers, custom enclosures, and special connector types to fit your exact system documentation.
Yes. All Acopian power supplies are manufactured in Easton, Pennsylvania and Melbourne, Florida, USA. Our systems are TAA compliant for government projects and produced under an ISO 9001:2015 certified quality management system.
When an internal power supply unit fails, the alarm relay signals your control panel while the secondary supply continues to carry 100% of the load. On rack mount chassis slide options or pluggable configurations, the technician simply disconnects and removes the faulty unit and inserts a replacement without interrupting output power to the load.
